Treehouse Appoints Jeremy Besser as Executive Producer

Former executive producer at Directorz plans to develop the company into a post-production leader.

DALLAS—Jeremy Besser, a producer with more than 28 years of experience in the Dallas advertising industry, has joined the editorial boutique Treehouse. Formerly executive producer and partner at the commercial production company Directorz, Besser will oversee operations, direct sales and serve as chief liaison between the company and its advertising agency and production company clients.

Besser’s years of hands-on experience in production and post, and deep roots in the Dallas advertising community make him an ideal choice lead Treehouse, according to editor Peter Tarter, who launched the company last month. “His overall experience and relationships are attractive,” Tarter said. “You can tell from the way he relates to clients that he understands their needs very well. He is a very smart cat. It’s perfect.”

Besser will focus on establishing Treehouse as a leading provider of post-production services in the Southwest. He will seek to grow business in Dallas and regionally and also plans to add to the company’s editorial staff. “I want to let the community know about the great talent and services we offer,” he said, adding, “I have always had strong ties to post production dating back to my years on the agency side. I enjoy the process.”

At Directorz, Besser led a company that served a national clientele of top tier advertising agencies. He managed a staff of nationally-recognized directors and produced ad campaigns for such brands as Anheuser Busch, McDonald’s, Ford, Taco Bell and Denny’s.

Prior to that, Besser spent 15 years as an advertising agency broadcast producer, including service as executive broadcast producer at Temerlin McClain, Dallas, and as senior broadcast producer at J. Walter Thompson, San Francisco. He also worked at Tracy Locke and The Bloom Agency in Dallas.

Since its launch in September, Treehouse has gotten off to a fast start, completing a national broadcast and web campaign for Russell Athletic. It is currently handling editorial for a holiday campaign for The Home Depot out of The Richards Group. Later this fall, Treehouse will begin editing its first long-form project, Johnson, an independent comedy from 2DS Productions and Roman’s Empire.

Treehouse is located at 3400 Carlisle St., Ste. 105, Dallas, Texas 75204. For more information, call (214) 754-8004 or visit www.treehouseedit.com.
