Idi "Cinzia, your Skin Friend" (2013) 2:15 (Italy)
Italian women get most of their skin care tips from the interwebs. But they're not necessarily going to trusted sources. And those tips from unreliable sources can end up being silly, ineffective or even dangerous.
Skin Care company Idi Pharmaceuticals came up with an intriguing way to reach these women. They created a fake tutorial girl. Named "Cinzia," she offered up over the top ridiculous skin care tips, including covering your face with raw octopus and pizza dough.
Kingdom of Sports "Fat Kills!" (2013) 1:15 (Germany)
You can see the joke coming a mile away. Nicely directed though. I guess it's a refreshing change, seeing accidental murder rather than suicides in spots. I think us creatives might need to up our happy meds.

Johnson and Johnson "For all you love" (2013) 1:00 (U.S.A.)
Yes folks, it's time for another pitch rip spot from Chiat Day. Another freaking manifesto. Only this time it's about love. With a lullaby version of "Sweet Child O' mine."
And a bunch of black and white photographs. And no-brainer sentiment about love that belongs on a Hallmark card from twenty years ago: "Love is family." "Love is the reason you care." "For all the things in your life that make life worth living." My god. No wonder the woman's VO sounds so sleepy.
Dove Real Beauty - Sketch Artist / How women see themselves - (2013)
Women describe themselves to Gil, and later a complete stranger describes the same woman. When these ladies see the portraits of how they see themselves vs how other people see them it's a revelation. It might not be on Anorexia levels bad self image, but they are all describing slightly grotesque caricatures of their own beautiful faces.

Old Spice - Watermelon - (2012) :15 (USA)
A little more bizarre than the soap shower that started this bar soap campaign, in this ad we find the soap inside a basketball that is a watermelon that hold the soap. After we've showered.
Old Spice Soap - Shower - (2013) :30 (USA)
Old spice is back with a many soap. Not a soap on a rope (but wouldn't that have been perfectly hipster retro now), just a soap. A soap that is the manly way to wash and will keep you fresh all day. Because it's like you shower all day. No more boring old soap for you, no sir. You use the stalker soap!
Scope - Behold! Bacon Mouthwash - (2013) :30 (USA)
This year, Scope’s April Fools’ spoof — the launch of “new” Scope Bacon — truly sizzled. The effort was supported by a fully-integrated ad campaign developed and implemented by Publicis Kaplan Thaler, MSL Group, Starcom MediaVest Group and included the 30-second video, “Behold!” The hilarious video was produced by East Pleasant and directed by Bradonio. Post-production was handled by Pleasant Post.

SuperPharm Trail Of Perfume (2013) L45 (Israel)
SuperPharm, Israel's largest drug store chain, wants people to know they sell more than meds. Using dance as metaphor, they're highlighting some of the other sundries, too. The first out of six spots being perfume.
This spot illustrates the trail a perfume spritz takes from the first moment the wafting scent leaves the skin to the last moment when the intended target (I.E., a dude) notices the alluring smell and then like a moth to flame, gets sucked in.
The ads feature the international dance company Inbal Pinto & Avshalom Pollak and someone I first thought was Anne Hathaway.
It's a nice bit of magic for a drug store chain.

Dove - Thought Before Action / Fake photoshop action stunt
Dove Canada decided to get generous in their latest idea in the campaign for real beauty, they offered a "photo effect" filter action set on the usual suspects blogs for free download so that the laziest of designers could with one click add "glow" to a persons skin. The idea being that art directors, designers et all will be downloading this and applying to images of ladies. The action did not do what was advertised, instead it reverted every change already made to the image - the horrors! - and probably pissed off a lot of people along the way (before they remembered CMD-Z!)

NIVEA Deo - Stresstest / Wanted at the airport - (2013)
How would you feel if you were at the airport, minding your own business when suddenly all signs point to you being a wanted criminal. First there's your photo on the cover of the newspaper, then your description is called out of the loudspeakers, then to top it all of your face appears on a breaking news bulletin. Wait for it though! Soon the cops come marching in, asking "are you stressed?" as they open a steel briefcase.... with Nivea Deo in it. It's only a prank, played on an unsuspecting victim to demonstrate how great a stick of Nivea deo is.
Lynx "Visor" (2013) :45 (U.K)
This spot for Lynx Apollo reminds you that an astronaut never has to wear shades. it's all part of Lynx's Space Academy Initiative. To send a few lucky blokes to space. It's all very silly, and fun very Lynx. I assume there's an age minimum, which means the 13-16 year appreciate these commercials probably won't be able to sign up. Bummer.
