Viva "Oven" (2013) :30 (U.S.A.)

Viva and Mike Rowe says break the rules to your paper towels usage. And go ahead and clean the oven. There's a fine line between "laid back," and disinterested. Mike Rowe is walkin' that line here.

JCPenney's Christmas / Elves / Diner - Ellen DeGeneres ticks off One Million Moms who call for boycott

Ellen DeGeneres tells accidental short jokes to Elves with "no small feat" and "well, it's a big deal.." but that's not why One Million Moms wants this boycotted, even though jokes that bad should be boycotted. It's because Ellen is as gay as the day is long, and in a long lasting commitment that has lead to marriage, complete with awesome dresses. I think they might be a tad jealous.

“Since April, JC Penney’s has not aired Ellen DeGeneres in one of their commercials until now. A new JCP ad features Ellen and three elves. JCP has made their choice to offend a huge majority of their customers again. Christians must now vote with their wallets.”

Last December, Arcana Academy opened with the North Carolina-based brand as its founding client and the following brief: launch the Optimum memory foam version of Sealy’s famous Posturepedic mattress, a product designed to compete with specialty mattress maker Tempur-Pedic.

So, the agency conceived several playful TV spots to remind viewers that mattresses are made for more than just sleeping. The tagline: “It’s better on springs. Whatever you do in bed, Sealy supports it.”

Mattress commercials aren’t typically known in ad land for being creative hotbeds, but an upstart Los Angeles-based agency has changed all that with a cheeky television campaign for mattress giant Sealy, Inc.

Juan Cabral via MJZ directed this sweaty summer spot, where a man behind the blinds fumes with hatred for the heated summer at psychopathic levels. He detests it so much he wants to burn it all down. Burn, burn burn.

"There are people who hate summer, who detest it profoundly, who fall into a sick rage at the very thought... But this is nothing compared to what the protagonist of this spot feels" said Itzkoff and Serkin, Executive Creative Directors at Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi, Argentina.

For the last time people, you can't sell everything with sex. But as soon as DP is mentioned, well, the creatives go a little porny. Same thing happened to Dr Pepper.

See also the 60 second version. It's got an even pornier door opening scene.

New Yorker notices the girlfriend has just arrived outside in a cab, and the tired old scenario of "my place is a mess" plays out with a twist. His place really isn't that much of a mess, in fact it's awesomely large and bright for any city, and the dude himself happens to have the FAB.com Midas touch. Yep. Everything he touches turns into a Fab design item. Girlfriend is impressed. I wonder if the potential new Fab customers will be, when they find that the site itself features the opposite of instant new designer gear gratification, as most items take 4-6 weeks of shipping. Yes. I said weeks. By that time designer-dude will have a new girlfriend. ....
