Nissan DUALIS - Sky Writing Proposal fail - (2013) :30 (Australia)
The moral of the story here is... Never trust an Australian around a pretty girl. Oh, and something something panoramic glass monoroof.
Zenonade - Plane / Stewardess - (2013) :30 (Czech Republic)
How relaxed do you get from drinking this relaxing drink? So relaxed you fantasize about all the passengers being dead. Wait, what? Point here? To get some attention for being controversial, I suppose - but it just comes off as a little quirky and weird. And creepy. Because if you're really relaxed, you don't care about the life and death of passengers, as long as you have a seat to lounge in, right?
Facebook Home - Airplane Home - (2013) (USA)
Facebook home means that your home screen is always showing you the latest of your friends inane facebook posts, and that you can FB from any app on your phone, receive chats while looking at a map and so on. What this means is, it's like having a random drag queen cabaret appear on an airplane. Your beach-lounging pals are taking up the overhead compartment. Your nephew is covered with chocolate cake in the aisle and there's cats everywhere. No, not like in "Great, now there's going to be cats everywhere"., just as in the old THIS bring X to LIFE execution.
I'm not saying it's predictable, I really like the music chosen for example, just that's it's not totally rad either.
Heineken - Road to the Final, UEFA Champions League Commercial 2013
What would you do to get there if you won a ticket to the UEFA Champions League final? This smartly dressed drummer hops a boat, a waterfall, a car, dribbles past a couple of stern looking men in customs and meets an equally soccer crazy billionaire (I assume) on the flight to LOndon from Brazil. Like the entrance, it's all quite over the top, and somewhat entertaining. Mad about football, aren't we all.
“We’re delighted to launch the ‘Road to The Final’ television commercial, celebrating the resourceful and quick-witted men of the world who will stop at nothing from experiencing the UEFA Champions League Final,” said Colin Westcott-Pitt, Vice President, Heineken. “We look forward to watching the Final with a cold Heineken and our consumers at the epic viewing party.”
EA Sports "Rumble" (2013) (USA)
Because for some reason the whole world still likes Tiger Woods, despite his philandering ways, so he and and Arnold Palmer face off with a team of thugs who attempt to steal their PGA trophies. Surprise, there's another badass in town who joins them unleashing an impressive can of I can-do-the-splits-whoop-ass. Wow, for a moment there I almost thought that golf-games were exciting.
Orbit - Heights / Flying / Crowded food - (2013) :30 (USA)
Don't let food hang around. Oh the heights we will go to for a pun! The airplane food looks so realistic too. No, I'm serious, my meatloaf always talks to me on flights. It says "Kill me" and does an impression of the Fly, using my fork as the shotgun. Yes it does.
"Don't let food hang around. After you eat, chew Orbit® for that Just Brushed Clean Feeling. Fabulous!"
FlyFrontier- Vacation - (2013) :30 (USA)
FlyFrontier- Secret - (2013) :30 (USA)
Flyfrontier debuted last night with this spot, titled "secret", where none of the animals can keep one, and the spot where the rabbit says Florida far too often. These ads will appear online and in cinemas in the Trenton region.
Frontier is expanding to the East Coast via Trenton Airport. To raise awareness about this, they launched a multi-media campaign with Transit Posters, OOH boards, Bus Wraps, Digital Ads, Print ads and these TV spots. Keeping the branding front and center, the airplanes tail-animals are the ones who carry the scripts.
Google - How It Feels [through Glass] - (2013)
"How it feels" shows us just how simple using the soon-to-be-released Google Glass is. TRES SIMPLE, and now we are forever unchained from our desks, handhelds and phones and can just continue with all that skydiving and flying and acrobatics we used to do before we became internet-hermits, while simultaneously sharing all this is G+, in hangouts, on youtube, all over the web. Look ma, no hands!
Oh yeah, big brother can see you and you're helping him too because omg squueee gadget. They'll be a little expensive to start, but woah, we are now living in the future. You must admit this looks hella cool.
Heineken - Déjà Vu - (2013) :90 (USA)
In swanky night clubs all over the world, a man makes an entrance, and smooth as that guy on the date he soon realises that there's a pattern to the ladies who are attracted to him. Armed by this déjà vu knowledge, our hero can now turne the tables quite literally, and throw dancers on his pursuers the next time it happens. Think of it as a sexy groundhog day except he doesn't want to get into Andie MacDowell's pants, just all the mobsters girls.
Air New Zealand - The Bear Essentials of Safety - (2013)
TV's beloved outdoorsman, Bear Grylls, appears here in "the first ever"* flight safety video that's been filmed outside, in the glorious NZ countryside, to be specific.
But wait, there's more. There's a sweepstakes.
Carefully watch “The Bear Essentials of Safety”, then enter for a chance to win The Great Kiwi Bucket List: a trip for two from anywhere in the world to New Zealand. To enter, count how many scenes the Moa (the giant black bird) appears in before his true character is 'revealed'. Trip includes kayaking at Cathedral Cove, bungee jumps at Skipper Canyon, swimming with dolphins in Doubtful Sound, watching the first world's first sunrise of a new day at Wainui Beach and more.
Wideroe - Grandpa's magic trick - english sub (2012) :50 (Norway)
"Just one more time, pleeeeeaaaaaase" nags the young boy as grandpa cooly waits it out. His magic trick is special, you see. And it works with Widerøe. They fly all over Norway. All the time. What a sweet little slice of life.
PIMA Air and Space museum - Paper Airplane Project - (2012)
The Pima Air & Space Museum wanted to inspire kids about the science of flight and attract more visitors to the museum. So we built a 45' giant paper airplane, lifted it high into the sky and let it fly. As part of the program, we held a paper airplane contest for kids. The winner of the contest got to help design, name the plane, and attend the private launch. The massive paper plane flew for nearly a mile from an altitude of 2703 feet and reached a speeds of up to 98mph. Afterwards, the museum displayed the plane as a permanent exhibit in the museum. Now, the people at PASM can say they're doing more than just collecting history. They're making it.
Gevalia - Johan / Motorcade - (2012) :60 (USA)
Gevalia want Americans to leave that standard cup of Joe alone and have a cup of Johan instead. This idea is presented by a long haired suave Swede as he flirts his way through an airport on his way to his motorcade, offering random women a ride because his coffee is like having a foot massage. What? Did we just mention feet while talking about Gevalia's aroma? As for the handsome Swedish flirty man stereotype, wow, I did not know we had these in Sweden WHERE HAVE Y'ALL BEEN HIDING GUYS? Seems most Swedish women don't know where these guys are, as everywhere I go in the world, someone will explain that they had Swedish girlfriend at some point. This is the new Viking era, we export sex. No I mean coffee. Sure. Good coffee is like sex.
BMW 5 Series - Refuel - (USA) :30 (USA)
Digital Domain built the entire KC-135 digitally after conducting an intricate survey of the actual plane, obtaining reference photos and the plane's physical dimensions, as well as researching actual videos of KC-135 plane landings. The digital production team, led by VFX Supervisor Eric Barba (VFX Supervisor on "TRON: Legacy") then worked closely with Kosinski to determine stall speed and the kinds of real interactions that would take place between the car and the ground to make the spot wholly believable.
Barba's team took care to ensure the tracking was just right, so the camera matches precisely with the live-action to maintain believability. Digital Domain also added atmospheric effects -- exhaust, heat coming off engines, and dust, as well as some sky replacement.
