Oreo "Wonderfilled Anthem" (2013) 1:30 (U.S.A.)
Oreo and The Martin Agency channels its inner Coke for a happiness-inspired animated spot. But instead of buying the world a sugar-laden beverage though, it's giving fairy tale enemies and vampires and sharks a sugar-laden cookie, all set to some saccharine music by Adam Young, aka Owl City.
"Wonder if I gave an Oreo to you." Well, I can answer what would happen if you're curious. I'm 100% certain I would need a toothbrush. Followed by a strict monitoring of my insulin levels. And then I'd mention the fact Coke already tackled the "what if we bought the opposite of ourselves a Coke" idea seven years ago.
California Lottery "More luck for your buck" (2013) :30 (U.S.A.)
More luck for your buck with a Fortune 55 scratcher. Hm. I might have to try this guy out...55 chances? Sign me up.
A Boy And His Atom The World's Smallest Movie - IBM manipulates atoms (2013)
Somewhere the team behind "Dot", the worlds formerly smallest animation, are collectively biting their fists while watching this, fascinated. This is IBM's atom boy, it took four scientists two weeks of 18-hour days to pull this off. And it took a gentle push from Ogilvy New York and production magic from 1st Ave Machine to take this from idea to finished film. The IBM research team has been manipulating atoms for a while, they can manipulate matter on the atomic level, and perhaps this will lead us to new ways of storing data in the future...
Dishonored - Chapter one "The awakening" - (2013)
For the highly anticipated multi-platform title Dishonored, Psyop and ROKKAN created an engrossing prequel series for Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios. The online series gives gamers a first-hand glimpse into the steampunk-inspired, shadowy whaling city of Dunwall, where plague is rampant and the city is in disarray and on the verge of dystopia.
ROKKAN and Psyop worked very closely with Bethesda Softworks to create a look and feel that was truly unique. Inspiration was taken from the artistic feel of the game as established by Arkane Studios, but with a twist.
Durrell "The Lonely Dodo" (2013) 4:00 (U.K.)
Aardman animation studios made this short for Durell Wildlife Conservation Trust, featuring a very lonely dodo. It's a nice bit of animation and an inspiring story, if only a tad too long.
TSB - the little things matter - (2013) (UK)
The little things in life matter, like sacred lobsters, high-maintenance flock of sheep, and small towns gangs.
Activision - Skylanders Swap Force Trailer - (2013) :130 (United States)
Infused with a childlike sense of fun and excitement, the two-minute Skylanders SWAP Force spot directed by LOGAN’s Jens Gehlhaar is an energetic showcase of character animation. The new spot is also a testament to the potency of collaboration, its eye-catching visuals and clever concept developed and executed in tandem with creative teams from 72andSunny and Activision Publishing, Inc.
Water is Good Stuff - (2013) 2:22 (USA)
Biosynthetic Technologies and The Laycock Center put together two minute pep-talk about water, voiced over by a kid. It comes complete with hashtag too - #oilchange. It's like a manifesto for water. Yep.
Smart car run with pigeon poop joke in case study.
Smart car responded to Clayton's tweetjoke with a neat infographic about bird poop, and we applauded how faboo their attitude was, as they took a joke and ran with it. "Outsmarted by a smart car" as Clay put it. Smart cars social media presence is very good worldwide, they did do the first ASCII animated twitter page too.
PSA - The Blue Balls Blues 'Official music video' - (2013) 2:45 (USA)
The blue balls blues is what when you forget your protection, boys. Because then you can not score, and that'll hurt. Take it away Rusty and Vern, sing us the blue balls blues.
A very different reminder to bring a condom. Like Metro in Australia "dumb ways to die" the message is brought to you by a humorous song and animation. And the risk shown is different, blue balls, man. Forget unwanted pregnancies and STD's. If you don't bring a raincoat, it will not rain. What does that even mean? I have no idea.
Connnelly and Partners "Different" :42 (U.S.A)
Boston based Connelly and Partners want you to know this Valentine's Day that new business pitches are a lot like a first date: awkward, and rehearsed. But like all great relationships, you can learn from them even if you lose.
Wait a second. What's wrong with being different?
Connnelly and Partners "Cyrano" :42 (U.S.A)
Boston based Connelly and Partners want you to know this Valentine's Day that new business pitches are a lot like a first date: awkward, and rehearsed. But like all great relationships, you can learn from them even if you lose. These are fun.
Connnelly and Partners "Chameleon" :42 (U.S.A)
Boston based Connelly and Partners want you to know this Valentine's Day that new business pitches are a lot like a first date: awkward, and rehearsed. But like all great relationships, you can learn from them even if you lose.
Well done, guys. I love these.
TEVA - Alrin. Taxi (2013) :30 (Israel)
WHat do you do when everyone in the country is talking about the Iranian threat, and none worry about the commons cold? Use a bit of punny humor to make Alrin synonymous with the Alrinian threat, ie a nose clogged full of bad snot.
TEVA - Alrin - Cafe - (2013) :30 (Israel)
Launcing a nasal spray as the Alrinian threat as a free ride on the hot topic of the day, the Iranian threat. At least now everyone remembers what that nasal spray is called.

Leo Burnett London take us on an animated pen & ink journey through the little world of wee bites.
Aardgas (KVBG) – Gaz Naturel (ARGB) Belgian Natural Gas Association / Knitted 2 - (2012)
TBWA Belgium's new commercial shows ever so gently how renewable energy and natural gas go hand in hand, and just like the one last year everything knitted grows on stuff like kudzu. The film was directed by Olivier Babinet and produced by Lovo Films for the Belgian Natural Gas Association. Am I the only one thinking that little terrier was going to turn into a knitted dog?
A Liar's Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman - Official Trailer (2012)
Graham Chapman, probably best remembered as 'the dead one from Monty Python', stars in the best movie since he died, his own life story called A LIAR'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY. He wrote it and voiced it, and now the film reunites the brilliantly funny members of Monty Python’s Flying Circus for the first time in nearly three decades. 15 companies that specialize in animation contributed animation segments to the project, and Süperfad was the only American company so honored. Eric Idle is still pissed about something so you won't hear him in it, but the others play with Graham Chapman's recording and from it comes a very interesting animation feature.
Toya De Lazy - "Heart" - (2012) 3:48
Bouffant's Jeana Theron directs the video for SA pop-sensation Toya Delazy's latest single "Heart". There's an ocean and a heart fishing for love, and dancing braids.
Clearly a labour of love for Jeana, her background in Fine Arts shines through in this cute video which was conceptualised and planned to painstaking detail by the director herself.
Albert Heijn - Vote for sustainable / Groceries with a message - (2012) subtitles (the netherlands)
Albert Heijn launched a Facebook app with an animation of two sustainable products battling for the most Facebook likes. Fans can vote by liking their favourite product. The sustainable product that receives the most likes will get a 50% discount in stores the week after. You can vote here. I'd vote for the fish, if only because the pun-joke about the rod spoke to my love of idiotic puns. Like "Boodschappen met een boodschap". Seems I'm not the only one as the fish is currently leading with a thousand odd likes.
