Opel ADAM - The Color Changing Car - Event / stunt (2013) :30 (Denmark)
Opel ADAM has features and comes in many colors. Many colors. Wait, let me repeat that, many colors. 60.000 exterior and 80.000 interior combinations. Yep. So how do you announce this to a dark wintery Denmark? What Unclegrey did was get an Opel Adam (bright white) and parked it on the high-street, then with the help of KubKub's crazy VJ Thomas Romlöv and Kay&Ndustry DJ Ole Brodersen they made the car change colors like a rock-star all night as stunned bar-hoppers and shoppers passed by. Looks pretty neat, doesn't it?
To ensure that the mesmerized onlookers knew what they were seeing, flyers were given out to interested parties at both ends of the street. It announced the new car and directed people to design their own on the Opel Website.
TGV / SNCF Group - Take a look at Brussels - (2012)
How do you announce that with the TGV you can travel non-stop from Lyon's to Brussels? Why not invite the people of Lyon, one person at a time? On the morning of September 21th, Lyon woke up to find a 3 meter high cube in Place de la République. The cubes had little face-sized holes in them. Underneath the simple hole the message read "Take a look at Brussels". Many curious person had to poke their head in it.
During two days, hundreds of inhabitants of Lyon got caught up by their curiosity, and to their surprise, found themselves thrown into Brussels. Yes! The inhabitants of Lyon were received live from Mont des Arts by the mayor of Brussels, his official band and the people from Brussels, faithful with the reputation of Belgian hospitality. Tres bizarre!
Delites - the Delite-o-matic - (2012) 3:44 (Australia)
Oh dear, the vending machine is back. Not being a kind giver of fun things without you putting little effort into it though. Go on. Hop on one leg. Bow down. KNEEL BEFORE THE VENDING MACHINE!
If you fancy giving this a go, the real Delite-o-Matic is also scheduled to make an appearance in the coming weeks at Melbourne Southern Cross Station.
Tourism British Columbia - BC Moments / Giant vending machine
A one of a kind, 14-foot tall, 10-foot wide vending machine was on Union Square the Embarcadero in San Francisco this May, vending mountainbikes, tents, camping gear, made in BC surfboards and even kayaks.
This stunt was part of the 100 BC Moments campaign.
Burma - Human Rights Watch / 2100 in 2010 - (2010) 1:45 (USA)
Nice to have a case study with the proper soundtrack to go with it, to really get a feel of how this worked. The beauty is that for each pen taken, a bar is removed from the prison windows. People who took a pen did get the tactile feeling of actually helping, it's not just a scribble on a piece of paper, it's the steel-file that will get people out of there.
