Puma "Dance Dictionary" (2013) 2:45 (U.K.)
Puma Fragrances teams up with a bunch of freestylers including PacMan, Storyboard and King Charles, to bring you the Dance Dictionary.
I thought you'd be able to write your own sentence and see if they could translate it-- they should do that as a live activation so it's more participatory beyond just clicking and watching.
The words and sentences have already been chosen and some of them extremely obvious. For instance, the word "heart" is translated by a dancer by making a beating heart shape with their hands.
It's about as fulfilling as watching someone else play Pictionary. But I'm sure the teen crowd will love it.
White House Black Market - Workkit / The heart of work wear - (2013)
Coco Rocha demonstrates that she knows all her angles and can look fantastic in anything, with a wink in this ad shot by Ellen von Unwerth under the creative direction of Ucef Hanjani at ceft and company
Stockholm City Mission "You'll never wear that again" (2013) 2:30 (Sweden)
fashion goes out of style. And yet you still have all that stuff in your closet. Why not donate it to those in need?
DDB Stockholm created this digital initiative for Stockholm City Mission called You'll never wear that again which sounds like a follow up to You didn't build that.
Basically the app uses your old Facebook photos to determine what you(or your freinds) no longer wear and then you go from there. Like the idea a lot. But I don't like adding apps to my Facebook page, so I'm posting the case study in stead.
Nice job, dudes.
Eskom Switch, 2013 1:00 (South Africa)
Frieze Films and Rob Malpage direct this spot for power company Eskom for Saatchi and Saatchi Johannesburg.
The circumstances surrounding the shoot were a bit tricky. Rob wanted to shoot Telkom’s National Control Room, because power grids are awesome, doncha know. But the place has severely restricted access. So Rob recreated it thanks to the magic of art direction and CGI.
The message is pretty much what you'd expect from a power company:
T.J. Maxx "Jenny: The Big Move" (2012) :30 (USA)
Madheart director Jan Gleie portrays the lives and fashion sense of two young women in a pair of new ads for T.J. Maxx and Grey, New York. The spots are part of the retailer’s on-going Maxxinista campaign and sequels to a group of spots directed by Gleie last year. Each takes the form of a loose documentary of a free-spirited young woman who is both a fashion trendsetter and someone who appreciates a bargain.
One of the new spots features stylist Cate Sheehy from the TLC series What to Wear. She first appears in her studio and confesses that what she enjoys most is styling her friends. “They,” she notes, “all love the latest trends, but none of them wants to pay full price.” She takes them on a shopping trip to T.J. Maxx where they load up on designer fashions at discount prices.

Following the stylish bloggers as they rifle through a pile of outfits in preparation for a double date, the high energy spot combines clever editing and a uniquely New York setting to spotlight the wide variety of Sperry’s varied footwear.
Collamboration
In what has to be the punniest pun of 2012, Australian Agency BMF, in association with the Meat & Livestock Australia,
bring you a silly take on their spring lamb campaign called Collamboration.
It's a silly mix of fashion and food. Fashion designer Leona Edmiston and Chef and television personality Ben O'Donoghue join forces to create fashion-inspired lamb recipes.
I'm not sure what that means. I'm also not sure that using a tumblr site is the most professional way of showcasing this idea.

As a nod to Smythe’s roots and the designers themselves, the films feature two strong women doing typical rugged Canadian activities. In conceiving the spots, Open sought to express the transformative effect the designers’ impeccable tailoring can have on a wearer and a general point of view on life – “Make Anything Spectacular”.
Levi's- Go Forth: Pretentious poetry with a capital P.
So, this is a new Levi's commercial. it's evolved the campaign to be less about America per se and, well...did I mention the VO is a poem? It is! And here is Kidsleepy's commentary as a poem in response.
This is Levi's 2012.
Stitched and hemmed,
Tailor made for the Peter Pan
Who does no work except
Working really hard to look lived in.
But it began in 2009, with a quiet big bang
The voice of an eloquent journalist teacher
Preaching on scratchy vinyl,
Calloused thumbs closed around belt loops
In dungarees,
A man named Whitman, imploring The New American Pioneer
To look forward, go forth, make something,
Never go back.
But oh! To have armchair quarterbacked,
Uniqlo "UV Cut" (Director's cut) 2012 :30 Japan

Conceived by Dentsu, Tokyo, the spot features Japanese model and actress Kiko Mizuhara (Norwegian Wood) who is shown wearing the young, fashionable clothing, which filters UV rays, in a stylized contemporary home overlooking a pristine ocean under a sunny sky.
The spot was shot on 35mm film and is notable for Blake’s innovative use of lighting and graphic design. The effect was produced with a specially-designed lighting rig by cinematographer Deke Donelian.

Kirsten Morrell - Ghosts (2010) 3:29
Kirsten Morrell from Goldenhorse has a debut solo album called 'Ultra Violet'. I want to know if I may borrow that cloaking sheet which makes one invisible. Seems rather useful.

Satinelle Ice Epilator - Karis - (2008) :60 (UK)
Ad Agency: DDB London
Sorry guys, I know we shouldn«t be mocking y'all but since I can pop out a nine pound baby without pain relief and I've seen grow men cry over simple eyebrow plucking, the strategy in this ad - using a transvestite to highlight the "pain free" with this epilator - just tickles me pink. Also, Karis is hawt.
Coreana - East and West - (2008) :30 (Korea)
the infamous "Nazi ad" - background story in this post.
