Girl has milkshake. Boy is filling up the car. Girl looks at boy. Boy decides to bet it all on goofy dance moves set to George Harrison’s "Got My Mind Set On You". When I say goofy, I mean goofy.
For Valentines day the thirsty camel - the bottle store that supports the responsible serving and consumption of alcohol - thought they might amuse you a bit with a very truthful film about internet-goggles. They are similar to the Tuborg beer-goggles (alert: 1994 Danish ad), in that everything looks better through the haze of white wine, iMac screens and blatant lies. The twist can be seen coming like a galloping lighthouse on fire, and it paints potential customers as weirdo loners who hang around their computers all day eating fatty chips and drinking. It's also approx 60 seconds too long.
In "Fireman" a gorgeous specimen of the profession finds a young lady in distress and sets out on a mission to save her in the most heroic way possible, all the while looking sexy , and forgive the pun, smouldering to boot. He races up a stair that burns down at once, he crashes through doors, he ends with an epic getaway from an exploding building, sheltering her in his strong arms, and as their eyes meet once they are in safety...
She spots something better coming down the street! Yep. Ladies may be a sucker for uniforms, but there's levels to the uniforms. Some uniforms are better than others. Let this be a lesson to you all. The best uniform in the birthday suit, by the way, in case anyone was wondering.
A township love story plays out in this ad directed by Egg Films' Terence Neale. A wire-frame car artist has his sight set on the pretty girl but nothing he creates seems to get her attention. Until he takes a deep breath and makes his master move.
She's not A girl, she's THE girl. Fear No Susan Glenn.
...an with this ad, Axe drops the tired old "gets you laid" schtick and grows up to be all poetic.
The name Susan Glenn has been planted all over the web since May. Online slang dictionary defines Susan Glenn as "That girl that you like so much but you never actually flirt with because you are too worried about messing it all up", and in a post made a month ago on the "all posts are actually ads" site known as Buzzfeed you will find Dudes failing to get their Susan Glenn in 11 gifs.
In the latest Stella ad, the french film spoof is taken to a new level when the couple converse for a bit and the love interest notes: "But, we're in a commercial". She is a thing of beauty.
And of course, the male lead will strip down past his skivvies at some point, just not when you expect.
In this Norton test of Oscillating Fan vs The Hoff, the fan falls for the Hoff. Er ist ein Sex-Maschine, you know.
Today, Philips launches ‘Nigel and Victoria’ a new online-only comedy show, or a non-romantic comedy because Nigel is failing miserably to score, and it previews new lifestyle products including iPad accessories, a solar rechargeable power pack, and different types of headphones.
The ‘Young and Connected’ is a brilliant and hilarious series of idents for C4. The project was Directed by Sam Cadman at Rogue and edited by Andy McGraw at Cut+Run, and are rife with bold humor and spot-on casting and art direction. ‘Dynasty’ big hair, equally grand actions and key shots of the LG phone are united with classic tag lines and cliffhangers. The storylines hinge on the drama that social networking can inject into the modern and uber connected world.
The ‘Telenovela’ style campaign can be seen at its ‘YouTube’ channel: http://www.youtube.com/youngandconnected.
Max Windows and Chris McKay also spent many hours on ‘the making of’ Young and Connected that can also be seen on YouTube.
Is America that uptight about showing anything having to do with the LGBT community? Yes, yes we are. (You need only look at the gay near-miss Super Bowl Snickers from two years ago or this year’s Mancrunch spots for further proof.) There’s a spot running now in Canada during the Olympics from Bensimon Byrne for Hyundai that features a play on a lipstick lesbian theme that would never fly further south. Underscoring the current homophobic vibe in the U.S. is that it’s *merely* suggestive of a relationship; there’s no physical contact whatsoever. But Sweden? Proud of ya! (Tip to The Auto Marketing blog.) (Update: Hyundai has now moved its Canadian account to Innocean Worldwide Canada, saying only that the move was to “unify its North American business on strategy, planning and creative.”)
Directing last year's Carlos Mencia project (Bud Light "Classroom") was like catching lightning in a bottle," recalls Konk's Chris Koch of his 2007 Game Day outing. "Trying to top it and to make the cut for this year«s Super Bowl was quite the challenge."
Koch and company rose to the occasion, delivering a worthy follow-up in which Mencia offers a barroom class in the "Language of Love." Of course, Mencia's Latin lover moves are no match for a dude who speaks the language of Bud Light.
"We wanted to take this spot to the next level and the best way to do that was to take Carlos and
The gunshot sound effect at the winking is quite funny.
