Johnson and Johnson "For all you love" (2013) 1:00 (U.S.A.)
Yes folks, it's time for another pitch rip spot from Chiat Day. Another freaking manifesto. Only this time it's about love. With a lullaby version of "Sweet Child O' mine."
And a bunch of black and white photographs. And no-brainer sentiment about love that belongs on a Hallmark card from twenty years ago: "Love is family." "Love is the reason you care." "For all the things in your life that make life worth living." My god. No wonder the woman's VO sounds so sleepy.
Swiss Heart Foundation "A story of Hearts" (2013) 2:00 (Switzerland)
Well, here is a really big twist on a familiar love story for The Swiss Heart Foundation. it's very lovingly shot, and the ending comes as one big sad shock. Nice stuff from Swiss Agency Contexta AG.
Now will someone tell me a joke and cheer me up?
Bank of America - Portraits - (2013) :60 (USA)
"Before they sat down, one more time, just for themselves..." This BOA commercial tells the story of a family, and all the ups and downs they have gone through, backwards in time through family portraits. It's a very interesting way of peeking into a large families life, and perfectly art directed fashion era references will push recognition buttons in nearly everyone. The small moments of acting a much larger story are great too, like the mothers glare after Brad's "brief brush with the law".
"We know we're not the center of your life" says Bank Of America, who probably lent this family the money to buy the house with the fireplace we see in every photo....."But we'll do ur best to help you connect to what is."
Audi - Prom (Worth It) - Big Game Commercial
The young man is hesitant. Why go to the prom alone? His mother reassures him. As he heads toward the door, apprehensive and discouraged, his father tosses him the keys to an all-new 2013 Audi S6. And then...
Because you see, once you have the right car, you have all the confidence in the world. Even if it gets you a black eye in the end. Audi is bravery-steroids.
And because no super bowl spot can be without a hashtag these days, this one has #braverywins. But #nobodycares.
The spot features the upcoming single "Can't Win Em Al" by Hanni El Khatib, from his highly anticipated second album, Head in the Dirt, out April 30, 2013. The album is produced by Dan Auerbach. .
John Lewis Christmas Advert- The Journey / Snowman - (2012) :90 (UK)
John Lewis does it again. To illustrate that extra mile we all go to find the perfect gift for the ones we care about, they show how a snowman goes on an epic journey to get his snow-girlfriend what she needs.
Gabrielle Aplin sings "the power of love" and the song is available on iTunes if you fancy it.
Toya De Lazy - "Heart" - (2012) 3:48
Bouffant's Jeana Theron directs the video for SA pop-sensation Toya Delazy's latest single "Heart". There's an ocean and a heart fishing for love, and dancing braids.
Clearly a labour of love for Jeana, her background in Fine Arts shines through in this cute video which was conceptualised and planned to painstaking detail by the director herself.
Expedia - Find Your Understanding - Wedding - (2012)
Oy, we're a bit heavy on the violins here Expedia... But then again, it is a wedding and swelling violins are as much part of that as kleenex and white dresses. The journey here is taken by the father Artie Goldstein, who has to come to terms with the fact that his daughter is marrying another woman. The cold hearted cynic in me is gruffing that of course the gay couple depicted are two gorgeous women, instead of two men with an age-difference, while the romantic zap in me is grasping for kleenex at daddy's speech. Hush! Now lets cut the cake.
This is part of Expedia's campaign "find yours", emphasizing the journeys we take when we travel. We know how to book a flight, but the old tagline "Where you book matters" doesn't matter anymore.
Andes Beer - A singular man - (2012) 1:45 (Argentina)
This man needs a helping hand... because his fingers are stuc in beer bottles. This is quite possibly the longest walk for a ham sandwich that I have ever seen.
AXE / Lynx - Susan Glenn - (2012) :60 (USA)
She's not A girl, she's THE girl. Fear No Susan Glenn.
...an with this ad, Axe drops the tired old "gets you laid" schtick and grows up to be all poetic.
The name Susan Glenn has been planted all over the web since May. Online slang dictionary defines Susan Glenn as "That girl that you like so much but you never actually flirt with because you are too worried about messing it all up", and in a post made a month ago on the "all posts are actually ads" site known as Buzzfeed you will find Dudes failing to get their Susan Glenn in 11 gifs.
Getty Images - From Love to Bingo - (2012) :60 (Brazil)
Almap BBDO went through over 5000 Getty Images to make a one minute story showing a love story where they meet, hold hands, kiss, copulate, procreate, make big family, die.... and then the widower wins big on bingo and has the time of his life, he's on a boat. Party! Wait! What was all that stuff before then? Un-party? Pfft, and y'all call me cynical. Apparently Bingo-win tops love-win. Not buying it.

Magistral - Snowman Love Story - (2010) :60
Grey Argentina and Rebolucion tell the sweetest love story between snow men. Sweeet, but tragic.... and hey all of this could have been prevented if he just had known about the cold water.. or, like David Kiefaber puts it over at Adfreak, "Forgive me, but examining this ad's internal logic is the only thing keeping me from sobbing like a child on repeat viewings."
