BBR Saatchi&Saatchi & Startupseeds have jointly created this Chrome extension which erases the bad words before they hit the message boards. The idea is that cyber-bullying has to stop, and by installing the chrome extension the bully can't bully, unless they use firefox. The extension detects offensive words like "ugly" and "kill yourself" and replaces them with positive ones instead. While I do like the geeky execution/idea I wonder if it'll have any impact at all on cyber-bullying.

Thai ads turn me into a puddle of sobs, or a puddle of laughter. This is the sob variety, bring kleenex, which Ogilvy & Mather Bangkok now owe me a shipment of.

The teenage daughter is ashamed, and bullied, about her mute father. She wants a "normal" dad, one that understands her, one that can hear her shout. If this ad doesn't make you cry a little, you've worked far too long in advertising and need a vacation.

To be perfectly clear (as Audi has asked us to kindly spell it out in big bold letters for non-advertising people who may not know what the word "spec" means) - a SPEC ad is an ad not paid for, nor approved by the brand that is depicted in the ad.

This ad is thus, not an official Audi ad. It doesn't run anywhere. It's an ad created to show off the directors skill. There are better examples of suicide by car commercials though as I have pointed out in badland.

This is not an ad, it's a spec job done by Team 3 at the Rutger Hauer Film Factory. This is a response to a brief that was handed out in the morning, the concept was written up and shot in just one day.
