Bravissimo ad campaign follows in Dove's footsteps

Bravissimo has launched new ad campaign featuring the ladies who wear their bras.
The women, all different ages and sizes, have one thing in common – their boobs are DD or above, with their exact cup sizes proudly displayed in the TV and magazine ads which launched this week.
Bravissimo's Jo Lee says: "Our customers were saying they wanted normal women with normal shapes advertising our products so we listened to them." There are sure to be male fans of the bra-vellous new campaign out there too.
I have to wonder if they were inspired by the Embracing Real Beauty Dove campaign by Ogilvy...very similar concept. What do you think?

Very similar, but with Bravissimos product range the idea is a lot closer to their home. So to speak. They have a great range of shirts and super halter-tops, frankly I'd prefer to see that shown in ad campaigns, because heaven knows its almost impossible finding a shirt that stays shut when you have an ample bosom.
Thank god. :D
I like the idea of showing more and more "real" women in ads. I do wish, in this case, they had shot them better. It's just not a very good image and that takes away from the positive statement. One thing Dove got very right was the production values in its photography.
While I can see the idea is the inspired by Dove, I don’t mind. It’s taking it a step further and I agree, at least they're talking with real people in mind. Certainly not the Uber Sex Nazis who kill with a stare found in the Victoria's Secret spots.
Too true. The photography feels cheap.
The ad is available here on Bravissimos ad-site. Geez, them girls giggle a lot.
