This is a blog, an adgossip site, a newssite - not a press release depository. Sure you can post news that you are going out with in a release but keep this in mind:
Press releases aren't read
Articles are read. Never start your post with the words "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE" - the readers will switch off (and in fact, Dabitch will delete those words or consider not approving the post). Write an article, not a release. The difference is not subtle.
For PR folks trained in the press release speak of the world, here's a tip: Take those lovely quotes from key players that you have out of the release, and write an article with them. Try not to repeat the clients name fiftybillion times. Relax, and pretend you're telling a friend about this story over a cup of coffee instead. Don't be afraid of making the post with a personal slant, I promise the post will be more appreciated, and thus spread, that way.
