Well, whether or not we could collectively enter the competition now as the "Adland collective", what has become apparent is that this ad is a MASSIVE SUCCESS for Virgin Music.
Look how many of us have spent real time engaging with it - this is a damn good example of the power of engagement (and entertainment) - and it's not even an uber-trendy Flash animation!

Also, the three people on the rooftop with a gate (or is that one of those things that horses jump over) confuse me. The building in the back - Deep Purple? Rolling Stones, OK...Drat, someone saw Postal Service :-). Is the woman on the fire escape Blondie? Of course, we can see Pavement.

Things that look too deliberate I haven't decoded: The lamp or sconce over the Dead Kennedys. The three protrusions over the Pet Shop. The bubblegum Blondie's blowing. I think Modest Mouse is really Ratt. And the three girls can either be Brazillian Girls, Swing Out Sister, or I don't know. To the left of Main Street, standing by The Subway (also a band) are the Cowboy Junkies.
