Ginsters - Real Honest Food (2006) Press (UK)

Ginsters press ads play off the exaggeration of headlines in newspapers for their Real Honest Food campaign.

Copy: Six-year old James Benson flung his best 1:32 scale Spitefire from his bedroom window yesterday. It broke.

Copy: There were no witnesses and locals described the man as a 'liar'.

Copy: Experts conceded: "If the technology became available and he moved to America and did all the training and lost a bit of weight, then in theory, yes, he could."

Copy: The MP for Lancashire South won £60,000 for charity in a TV gameshow last week. He said he had a good time.

Copy: He had lost a sock, but after searching for a minute in the back of his wardrobe, found it on his tie rack.

I can't quite decide if these are great or if I'm miffed at having been fooled into reading the copy....But I guess the humorous twists in the copy sort of redeem the ruse.
