I have the same base problem with this ad as I do with Uber Eats. Where do you think I get my food from? Yes, it's from my neighbourhood. However, I think this ad showed "the neighbourhood" in a much more fun and memorable manner, where anyone living in a city would recognize that there are lots of food options available, and anyone in a small town will also recognize that these meals are prepared by people living in your neighbourhood. So it has a friendly Sesame Street feeling to it while expanding on where one might consider shopping with Doordash. For example, I didn't know that I could get stuff from my grocery store with them. Good to know.

PermalinkDoordash pumped millions of dollars into a Super Bowl ad with beloved children's TV characters, only for the Monday story to be about... a kidnapping. SFPD found the children who were carjacked while their dad did evening doordash delivery in and exclusive Pac Heights neighborhood. This kind of horror happens because Doordash's biz model is built on exploitation.
