Thermacell / Myggrapporten - the mosquito report - yes, there's an app for that!

Swedish summers are famous for a lot of things, midnight sun, skinny dipping, odd midsummer parties, rain throughout July, and mosquitos. Millions of mosquitos. They'll eat you alive.

"Up until now there really has been no way to find out how big the problem is locally in different parts of the country. When you plan your vacation you can get a weather report but not a mosquito report. With this insight, we helped our client - a nordic agent for the mosquito repellent product Thermacell - build a crowdsourcing tool for mosquito reports."

Simfy - Monobrow (Directors cut + English) - (2011) :30 (Germany)

In a world where a boy has a monobrow and a monobrow has a boy, a shaver cut between them and only music can keep them together.

Samsonite - Heaven & Hell - (print) - China

The company that created this animated visual feast is aptly named "Illusion", and I love how in China, the idea of air travel for humans is still a pampered angelic heaven, while the poor bags have to endure hell. Flying in to New York I must have been mistaken for luggage. Yes, it was hell, thanks for asking.

To celebrate the opening of the Shinkansen trip that takes you from north to the south, operating from Hakata to Kagoshima, Dentsu arranged a 250 KM long audience wave.

Yes, when the bullet train took its pre-premiere run through the country, more than 30,000 people cheered it on. Everyone from uniformed schoolgirls and little league kids, to power rangers, and parents with their kids on their shoulders waving flags as the train passed by. It's all quite cheerful.

This ad was however pulled, as the train lined opened on March 12, 2011 - a single day after the worst natural disaster hit Japan in the form of a giant wave. The cheerful attitude in the ad was deemed inappropriate to air.
