Ad Age reports the flare up occurred immediately after 12% of the staff got burned in a round of layoffs last Friday. This, of course, provides investigators with a convenient list of suspects to take the heat.
On the bright side, the remaining staff will presumably be able to pull a clever self-promotional gag ad out of the fire that'll get into next year's One Show book.
