McDonald's "Good Things" (2015) 1:00 (USA)

The sofa that appears toward the beginning of this spot made me think i was watching an adidas spot. But nope, it's actually for McDonald's. Burrell Communications enlisted the iconic director Joe Pytka for this spot. It opens with a gorup African American kids hanging out on a darkened street. At first they look like they're up to no good. Are they going to tag something? Well, yes they are. Except not with a gang sign. Instead, they tag the place with hearts and words like "hope," and "dreams." And then share a McDonald's breakfast in front of the sunrise. While later, a little boy sees their handiwork and gets inspired by it. Technically though, they still are breaking the law. But it's McDonald's-approved, so it's okay. Great choice of music track, too.
