Aéro Film's Indrani Makes Long-Anticipated Move to Live Action

Following an award-winning career in still photography, Aéro Film's standout digital artist and director Indrani has transitioned to live-action directing recently, creating high-profile spots for the London Sunday Times, Carol's Daughter, Ralph Lauren, Neiman Marcus, and Nothing But Nets. The transition came naturally to her, as she is known for collaborations with A-listers Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Anne Hathaway, Katie Holmes, Will Smith, Kanye West, and David Bowie, and high-profile campaigns for Lancome, L'Oreal, Hugo Boss, Nike, Pepsi, among others.

"Indrani has been shooting still photography with us for quite some time along with her creative partner Markus Klinko. Over the past year we have been building her motion reel to provide both mediums to clients," noted Aéro NY EP Sara Eolin.

Aéro founder/EP Lance O'Connor added, "Her progress has been impressive as she's shot alongside her still photo shoots and completed spec work and other client projects. She now has a very solid reel and we're ready to share it with the world."

"I have never felt so excited and alive; I have fallen in love with filming motion, and with exploring all its creative challenges and possibilities," stated Indrani. She was behind TBWA\Chiat\Day NY's highly controversial Keep a Child Alive campaign (portraying celebrities in coffins in an attempt to raise donations to fight AIDS), and welcomed the challenge of transitioning to directing. "One of the most impressive aspects of Aéro Film's operation is an unbending commitment to growing their talent," continued the director. "They encourage professional evolution with the full force of their resources. After spending the past year working alongside the studio's impressive talent, I feel I've emerged with my unique style and the confidence to take on projects from any client."

Outside of the production realm, the Calcutta, India native, former fashion model and Princeton graduate is the co-founder of Shakti Empowerment Education, a charitable foundation that provides a range of services - from providing schooling to 300 children, homeopathic clinics, women's literacy and vocational training to microfinancing - whose purpose is to empower and uplift women and end the cycle of poverty.

Indrani's formal entrance onto the live-action production scene follows a short film tribute to Alexander McQueen starring the late designer's muse and fashion icon, Daphne Guinness, and a string of major Aéro announcements, including an expansion of services in their New York City offices, an elevated role for award-winning EP Sara Eolin, and the securing of sales reps simpatico.
