Tool Promotes Dustin Callif to Managing Partner Digital

Following an exciting year of successful campaigns and numerous award wins, Tool EP Digital Dustin Callif has been promoted to Managing Partner Digital. This change reflects Callif’s evolving role as a company principal and long-term commitment to growing the prestigious reputation of Tool as a premiere integrated production company with world-class capabilities in digital creative.

“Dustin has brought so many exciting opportunities to our company. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to work with such a visionary talent with such high creative standards,” stated Tool President Brian Latt.

Since joining the company in 2009 to found Tool’s digital division, Callif has expanded the in-house digital team to include several interactive directors and some of the top creative digital producers and technologists in the world. As EP Digital, his work in 2012 included interactive documentary “Clouds Over Cuba,” a partnership with the JFK Presidential Library, marking the 50th Anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis; the online music experience JAM with Chrome; the Daytime Emmy-winning experiential Facebook app “Take This Lollipop;” the Cannes Lion-winning Lexus/Sports Illustrated iPad app; and Under Armour’s “Out-Ray Ray” immersive experiential activation which was installed at this year’s Super Bowl XLVII game day festivities on-site.

Since 2009, Callif-lead projects have garnered industry-wide praise and numerous awards, including SXSW Interactive Best in Show, eighteen SOTD FWA Awards, a Cannes Silver Cyber Lion, two One Show Interactive Gold Pencils, and four Webby Awards.

Prior to coming to Tool, Dustin was co-owner and Managing Partner of digital agency Spacedog and negotiated its acquisition by Mendelsohn Zien and Hakuhodo, the second largest advertising holding company in Asia.
