The retro TV seems like a nod to the Matrix to be honest. Clearly, the budget isn't on the same level as the SSU "never forget to vote" with Rainer Höss asking for a Nazi-free Europe, but the directing (with the creepy hand feels) is still quite up there. Love the Napoleon hand in vest.
